Across the country, this past winter has been filled with cold, snowy weather – keeping many of us cooped up indoors. A few months of merely plugging away at computers, thumbing through books, or just sitting in class can really take a toll on one’s body, as well as health. Spring Break is the perfect time to get back in the swing of things, get outside and get back into a healthy lifestyle. There is more to do than just clean in the Spring!
Fitness should be a big part of your plan to help get things started. There are plenty of fun activities for students to take part in such as walking, running, swimming (if it’s warm enough), dancing, playing sports and more. Even the simplest activities can be advantageous to their health, as long as they ease back into it. The last thing you want is an injury that prolongs inactivity.
By including activities that raise heart rate, breathing rate, and muscle strength for at least 2 ½ hours per week, you are ensuring that their bodies will be back up and running by summer. School Nurse Supply offers a variety of Fitness and Nutrition Games that are not only fun for you and your students, but also beneficial. Click Here to find all that you will need for a fit, healthy Spring Break!
